Introduction to the CompEx Preparation Course
The CompEx Preparation Course is designed to equip participants with essential knowledge and skills for working safely in hazardous areas. Participants will learn about the classification of hazardous areas, equipment protection methods, and the importance of proper equipment labeling.
In subsequent chapters, the course delves into various protection methods, including flameproof and intrinsic safety principles, as well as installation techniques for cable and wiring systems. Emphasis is placed on health and safety practices, including the roles of safety stakeholders and the importance of accurate documentation.
Additionally, the course covers the design and selection of flameproof, pressurization, and intrinsically safe systems, highlighting best practices for installation and testing of electrical equipment in explosive atmospheres. By the end of the course, participants will be prepared to ensure safety and compliance in hazardous work environments.
